Product Description

" In this book, 30 typical operations are introduced, most from late 1964, when the US sent massive numbers of troops to South Vietnam, to mid 1975, the end of the Resistance War. The operations are outlined, including its launch time, scale, place and target. In this war, a new kind of operation emerged in addition to the two-attack & counterattack-used in the preceding Resistance war against the French: a full-scale assault featuring the Vietnamese people. The operations were generally conducted with three forces: the main force, the local force & militia. Each operation required the initial service of several regiments & then divisions and even corps. The duration of operations varies, with some lasting over ten months like Operation Nguyen Hue, and some short despite their large scale like the last five days of Operation Ho Chi Minh. The operational objectives varied from campaign to campaign. They were to eliminate enemy troops, to destroy enemy weapons, to undermine the policy of pacification, to help the local insurgency, and step by step, to tip the military balance. This book provided you with the development of each operation. We hope that through this book you acquire a better understanding of the combat tactics of the Vietnam people in the resistance war against the US ". ( ( From an Introduction of the book ). The title in Vietnamese: Tom tat cac chien dich trong khang chien chong My cuu nuoc.
