Choices is the account of the life of an ordinary man. The author, Hein Scheffer, grew up in an ordinary Afrikaans community in the previous century and lived through the significant changes in South Africa over the last two decades. He was faced with so many familiar and unfamiliar challenges in his personal life: an accident that changed his life instantly, a divorce, the unexpected and unaccounted death of a loved one and the realities of earning a living.
