21st Century Nigerian Literature: An Introductory Text studies some one hundred Nigerian literary works which have emerged in the new millennium. In the fertile imaginations of the authors of these works reside the developmental hope of the Nigerian national literature on the one hand, and the achievement of the humanizing ideal of the scribal arts on the 21st century novel, poetry, drama, short story and children’s literature with a modestly comprehensive attitude, on the other. It also aims at providing a 21st century view of what has happened in and to Nigerian literature from the earliest beginnings.
