" With the aim of promoting international exchange and professional sharing, and at the same time, introducing Vietnamese and foreign photographers' creative fruits to the public and out the country, and in response to the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long - Ha Noi, the 5th International Photo Contest in Vietnam in 2009 ( VN-09 ) has launched. After launching the event for almost 6 months, the Organizing Board had by August 8, 2009 received a total of 8,545 works ( including 1,971 black and white photos and 6,574 colour photos ) by 1,275 photographers from 47 countries and territories around the World. VN-09. As many as 985 Vietnamese photographers took part in the contest, with a total of 6,515 works, this definitely offered them a great opportunity to compete against their peers from all corners of the World. Without any limitation in topics & forms of expression, the works sent to the contest showed that they were very rich in content when portraying all the aspects of life. Vietnamese and foreign photographers showed how men's creative ability can go as they have lively captured not only moments in daily activities but also human feelings.
