The book is an appraisal of the reform programmes of the Nigerian government. The chapters in it, which cover some sectors and issues that are germane to reform, have been contributed by both the implementers and targets of the reform processes. In our own estimation, the Round-table that led to its publication was the first to be organized by any university in Nigeria on the regime of reforms initiated by the Obasanjo government in its second term in office. Given the scope and the quality of contributors to the book, the organizers of the Round-table, Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria, feels fulfilled that it has discharged its responsibility to the Nigerian nation by creating a forum for the interchange of ideas that has produced the desirable outcome-Nigeria’s Reform Programme: Issues and Challenges
