The book is a kind of memoirs & other reflections of one of the Party, Government and military highest ranking people, namely four-star General Pham Van Tra ( born 1935 ) - former Minister of Vietnam Ministry of National Defense who used to be directly took part in the two Indochina Wars ( the two Resistances against French & American aggressions ). Maybe, it is the first book that provided a large readership & research circle with collection of memoirs & reflections that is full of details and materials of confidential resource relating to political & military career of the General who passed a long path of career from a private soldier to the position of Minister of National Defense. At the same time, in a certain extent, the book helped to understand many other aspects of situation of Vietnam before and after the an important year of 1975. In the book, the collapse of the Khmer Rouge also mentioned. It is sure that the edition is an useful one.
