Tragic and Heroic Story of the Tay Son Dynasty ( 1771 - 1802 ) - it is a historic novel written by the author of Le Dinh Danh in recent years - the first years of 21st century. The style & writing technique of the novel are imitated Chinese classical novels of 18th & 19th centuries such as: San Guo Yan Yi - Romance of Three Kingdoms of Luo Guanzhong ( 1330 - 1400 ) or Shui Hu Zhuan - Water Margin from Suzhou of Shi Naian ( 1296 - 1371 ). The Novel is full of diverse historic materials & folk legends, charecter-building technique covering a historic period of Vietnam that full of tragic but pathetic & glorious ups & downs - Vietnam South & North division that lasted more 200 years. The key characters of the Novel were three brothers of the King Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue ( 1753 - 1792 ) and opposite side - rivals the Lord Nguyen ( Phuc ) Anh ( 1762 - 1820 ) and Chinese the Qing Dynasty army, its generals & military activity in Vietnam.
