Len đong (Spirit Possession Ritual, votive dance, "to mount the medium", or "going into trance") is a ritual practiced in Vietnamese folk religion and the mother goddess religion Đao Mau, in which followers become spirit mediums for various deities. Len đong is in the form of shamanism, through intermediaries to communicate with the spirit, thereby praying to the gods for the help they desire.
