This book, Syed Arabi Idid : Scholarship in Transformation lived up to its title as one that seeks to empirically and systematically transform our understandings of the many facets of our daily life including our usage of media, our relationship with others and how all of that affects our political system. It is a refreshing book that chronicles the development of local social sciences knowledge from the eyes of an experienced scholar and most of all, makes us question the direction of upcoming research.
