Each of these detailed plans will help you locate within a given temple the mythological scenes and special features you should not miss. A real plus since, in large Angkor temples, most first-time visitors feel they are caught in a labyrinth! The first three chapters are devoted to ancient Khmer history, religions (Hinduism and Buddhism), and architecture. These chapters (a total of 85 pages) have been presented in a clear, thematic fashion, to make these subjects easily accessible to non-specialists.
