This anthology presents the best of the English language entries in the inaugural Tusitala Short Story Competition, which was organized by the Samoa Observer in 2015. Authentic and diverse Pasefika voices from Samoa, the Cook Islands, Fiji, American Samoa, Niue, New Zealand and Australia tell stories about things that matter to them. Narrators range from an unborn child to a great grandparent and everything in between while themes cover many of the issues facing Pacific peoples today, regardless of where they live.
