Based on the collection, research and comparison of historical records, Nguyen Duy Oanh has compiled a book entitled "The French Resistance Army" on the military and literary front (1859-1885). The main content of the book focuses on the evolution of the anti-French resistance in Cochinchina, which highlighted the role of intellectuals and some patriotic scholars.
