Friedel Hansen's photo book, Old Pretoria (2016) was very well received and sold very well. 
However, Nostalgic Pretoria is different in many respects: Larger and with a wide range of subjects. There are 474 black and white pictures in the book and it gives a very comprehensive look at the history of Pretoria: the development of Church Square, new buildings, streets, famous places, rainstorms, the Apies, Wonderboompoort, the suburbs, famous people, Meintjeskop, church at Church Square, other churches, schools, Pretoria concentration camps, aviation development, funerals, military parades at Kerkplein, the first All Black Haka in Pretoria in 1928, famous court cases ... and various other items. 
There are several pictures of the building of the Union Building, the Reserve Bank and the Voortrekker Monument. 
Nostalgic Pretoria / Nostalgic Pretoria is also an archive in the small, full of rich history of ruined days.
