Foreword: "The Bru-Van Kieu are farmers, formerly concentrating in Middle Laos and called the Bru that meaning "the forest residents" in the local tongue. Historically, the Bru-Van Kieu are among the groups who have a long-standing settlement in the Truong Son region. Like other groups residing in the Truong Son Central Highlands, the Bru-Van Kieu boast an original culture owned by dwellers in the mountainous region with difficult terrain. The VNA Publising House would like to introduce the pictorial book " The Bru - Van Kieu ethnic group in Vietnam" as part of the series on 54 ethnic group in Vietnam. The book contains many pictures an articles about the essentials of society, daily life and culture of the Bru - Van Kieu. We hope that the photos and information in the book will provide sketches of the long-standing material and spiritual life of the Bru -Van Kieu which is still preserved so far."
