KIM TUY TINH TU is another title of a Vietnamese literary work – “Tale of Kieu” by the great poet Nguyen Du (1766 - 1820). The book that you are holding is a reprint of the first edition (size of 22 cm x 16 cm, 157 pages, including the appendix) of KIM TUY TU TINH that translated into Vietnamese modern written language by Mr. Pham Kim Chi and was published by Sai Gon Publisher in the year of 1917. Especially, this book has a preface written by Dr. Nguyen Mai (one of the descendants of Nguyen Du – Nguyen Tien Dien family) covering KIM TUY TINH TU. This Preface wrote in Chinese scripts, it was translated into Vietnamese modern written language by Mr. Hoang Thuc Mau. In addition to the two previous editions of Truong Vinh Ky (printed in 1875) and of Nguyen Van Vinh (printed in 1912) at the Ich Ky (Ha Noi) printing house, this KIM TUY TINH TU is the third edition that was printed in Quoc Ngu (that is in Vietnamese modern written language) and is considered the valuable and rare material on the work “Tale of Kieu”.
