Phan Van Khai (25 December 1933 - 17 March 2018), commonly known as Six Khai, is the fifth Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam from 25 September 1997 to 27 June 2006. This book is published on the basis of a selection of articles and narratives, information about the National Funeral of former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai, along with the eulogies and memoirs of senior leaders. The book also introduced a number of interviews, especially the full text of the speech by former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai in the National Assembly of Vietnam before resigning. In his last words, he frankly outlined his achievements and weaknesses, along with the apology of the People and Congress about the responsibility of the Prime Minister for the state of bureaucracy and corruption in state agencies. The book gives readers a general and correct view of the personality and contributions of the former Prime Minister, along with the sentiments of the people.
