Trees – Development This book elaborates extensively on the characteristics and various properties of jelutong timber obtained from the plantation by tissue culture and cuttings. The basic anatomical, physical and mechanical properties as well as its durability were determined and collated based on established standards. This publication provides important information on the potential usage of jelutong. To adopt jelutong as an alternative material for the future, development of innovative and creative products from its wood should be a priority. Jelutong logs, branches as well as waste residues were processed and manufactured into value-added products with high commercial value.
