Six Nights in May is the narrative of what began on Thursday, 14th May, 1987, in the Parliament of Fiji. It was at 10.10am that a colonel staged the first coup with ten masked gunmen. He was the third-ranked officer in the Fiji Royal Military Forces, RFMF. This is the story of the immediate aftermath of the coup written by me as I have remembered it from my memory of personal experience.
