This book traces the relations of the British Government with Sindh from the middle of 11th century to the annexation in 18113. The treatment of a highly controversial subject is essentially judicious and the analysis of the treaties contracted by the British Government with the Amirs of Sindh is characterised by a spirit of powerful moderation and sane criticism. The author, as a University Research Scholar, had an access to original documents and manuscript records of the. Punjab Government and he has based his opinions on these documents. As these records have never been used before the author has been able to make a valuable contribution to the existing knowledge on this important subject of history.
