After poems and news very noticed, Dewe Gorode signed in 2005 a first singular novel, crossed by contemporary Kanak orality, old stories, songs and deeply original poems.
In the language proper to her, she paints uncompromising portraits of tormented men and women, composing by touches sometimes raw, sometimes gay, sometimes dark, an unvarnished picture of the passions that ravage sentient beings. Without pretense, without hypocritical modesty, the author chooses to say the distress of women dirty, abused from childhood, sometimes even within their family, physically and morally subject to the goodwill of the strong sex. Apres des poemes et des nouvelles tres remarquees, Dewe Gorode signe en 2005 un premier roman singulier, traverse d’oralite kanak contemporaine, de recits anciens, de chants et de poemes profondement originaux. Dans la langue qui lui est propre, elle dresse les portraits sans concession d’hommes et de femmes tourmentes, composant par touches parfois crues, parfois gaies, parfois sombres, un tableau sans fard des passions qui ravagent les etres. Sans faux-semblant, sans pudeur hypocrite, l’auteure choisit de dire le desarroi des femmes salies, abusees des l’enfance, parfois au sein meme de leur famille, soumises physiquement et moralement au bon vouloir du sexe fort.
