Development of key economic regions is one of the major undertakings of the Party and State of Vietnam in order to implement industrialization, modernization and international economic integration. Since then, there have been requirements to renovate macro-planning, plans and policies in order to accelerate the process of economic development and restructuring by industries, territories and economic types. Key economic regions have become dynamic and fast growing regions, leading in some important areas, improving the competitiveness of the economy and creating a driving force for the development process of the country. This book is compiled by the General Statistics Office, analyzing and assessing the situation of growth of regions as well as affecting the growth of the whole country in the period of 2011-2017. The data used in this publication is compiled from the National Statistical Yearbook and Provincial Statistical Yearbook from 2011 to 2017.
