Currently, there are many scientific studies on ethnic policies in the world and in Vietnam. The above works have made positive contributions to theories, practical summaries, and provided the scientific basis for the formulation and implementation of national policies. However, these studies still show certain limitations, and there are still many "gaps" related to studies on ethnic policies. Therefore, the systematization and evaluation of studies on ethnic policies of Vietnam from 1986 to the present have a very important meaning in the analysis, evaluation and identification of "gaps" on ethnic policies that need to be clarified in the future. In addition to analyzing, evaluating and clarifying the contributions and impacts of the study on the completion of the theory and practice of ethnic policies, The authors have organized the studies according to a set of criteria to become a system, creating favorable conditions for the synthesis, generalization and comprehensive of ethnic policy issues in Vietnam.
