This book is the proceeding of the workshop within the framework of a national project: "Basic and urgent solutions to market development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Vietnam". Over the past years, Vietnam has paid special attention, invested in comprehensive development of ethnic minority areas, mountainous areas, and extremely difficult socio-economic regions. The system of socio-economic infrastructure is synchronously invested: education, health and social security are guaranteed; great efforts have been made in hunger eradication and poverty alleviation; socio-economic development, political security, social order and safety are guaranteed ... People's beliefs, especially ethnic minorities, for the Party and the State have been constantly strengthened. This book provides information on theoretical issues, experiences and policies to develop commodity markets, financial labor and science and technology in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
