'The Xinh Mun (aka Pua, Puoc) is an ethnic group with a small population, around 28.000 people. The group belongs to the Mon-Khmer linguistic group in the Austroasian linguistic family, residing in the provinces of Son La and Dien Bien in Viet Nam's Northwest for a long time. The Xinh Mun mainly live on milpa cultivation. With simple techniques, they cultivate sloping land. Depending on the nature, their productivity is quite low, their in com unstable and their life quite difficult. Many of their agricultural rites are still maintained. Through vivid photos and monographs provided by ethnologists, the book will introduce the origin, population distribution, livelihood, hamlet and housing, costume, customs, beliefs and festivals of the Xinh Mun, an ethnic group in the 54-group community of Viet Nam.
