"Folk literature of Tien Giang province" collected by the Department of Literature, University of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2 phases with the total number of collaborators that the fieldwork team contacted is 1851 people, working in localities in My Tho city, districts of Cho Gao, Go Cong Dong, Go Cong Tay, Chau Thanh, Cai Be, Cai Lay and Tan Phuoc. The collection of Tien Giang folk literature includes 26371 units of works in many genres: legends, fairy tales, jokes, rhymes, folk music, riddles ... and many others. After filtering, selecting, classifying and adjusting the whole text of raw works collected in 2 rounds, the fieldwork team retained 1,021 riddles, 903 proverbs, 108 stories, 1,251 folk verses and 49 poems. At the end of the collectibles section of each genre, the fieldwork collection team will specify the collaborators' information provided to the group. It can be said that this is a huge, detailed, meticulous, serious and honest field work.
