According to the World Bank's assessment of 2017, Vietnam is one of the countries most seriously affected by climate change and seawater, suffering great socio-economic losses. In this context, mainstreaming climate change issues into development strategies and plans is considered a wise approach, in order to achieve the goals of sustainable development and to develop climate change response measures effectively. This study covers 4 main contents: 1. Theoretical and practical basis for integrating climate change in the socio-economic development master plan. 2. Integrating climate change issues into the master plan of socio-economic development in Vietnam. 3. Situation of climate change mainstreaming in Quang Tri province's socio-economic development master plan. 4. Measures to improve the effectiveness of integrating climate change in socio-economic development planning in Vietnam.
