Our previous venture into the evidence space was Hong Kong Evidence Casebook (2004). There has been no up-to-date text since. This is the only text that discusses Chinese-language cases which are not covered in any competitor title. These decisions are important as appellate courts explain the law, it is the lower courts, where trials are increasingly being conducted in Chinese, where we see the law being applied. Written as a learning and reference aid, each chapter contains introductory sections which tie the focus of the specific chapter with the entire framework of the law of evidence.
