The French colonial education policy brought both negative and positive things, making contributions to modern education. For the purpose of providing original documents, contributing to the planning of new educational policies, the book collects legal documents of the colonial government and archives related to education at all levels in Vietnam from 1858-1945. These are selected texts from the French language archive currently preserved at the National Archives Center I. The content of the book reflects relatively fully and comprehensively Vietnam's education as well as the guidelines and policies of the French government on education in the period 1858 - 1945. During this period, the French carried out successive education reforms, from which the three-level education system in Vietnam was basically formed. Through the education policy of France, the Vietnamese have selectively absorbed new knowledge of Western civilization and enriched the culture of the Vietnamese nation.
