This volume puts together contributions by young researchers that highlight policy challenges in various sectors of the Indian economy and how they need to be handled. Three broad themes are covered in this volume, related to ‘India’s Growth Experience: Key Underlying Processes,’ ‘Agriculture and Climate Change’ and ‘Trade and Employment.’ The various aspects covered in this volume relate to the functioning of the economy and critical challenges facing the country today such as the problem of unemployment; issues related to environmental sustainability and climate change; as well as management of the external sector.
