Bahasa Sug is the right name of the language spoken in Sulu Archipelago and in other areas where Tausugs and other Bangsa Sug have settled away from the Motherland. In the Philippines, as the Bangsa Sug nation has become a part, it is one of the recognized official languages. Often, many people call it Tausug, but this term is more accurate if made to refer to the people, hence its use to mean the language is sadly improper, though nonetheless the sense is understood.
