The book consists of 11 chapters: Chapter 1 introduces the political, economic, cultural and social context of the 1960-1975 period, as well as the marriage and family policies of this period. Chapter 2 mentions the theoretical basis, research method, research sample, survey area and field data collection process of the research team. Chapters 3, 4, 5 analyze the characteristics of marriage and family formation, including mate selection, age at marriage, and accommodation arrangement in the early years after marriage. Chapters 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 analyze the structural and functional features of the family, including household structure characteristics, economic activity and income characteristics, division of labor and decision-making power in the family, spiritual life, marital affection, some cultural ritual activities of the family. Chapter 11 discusses family relationships with relatives.
