Agro-Terrorism Villains, Victims and Counter-Measures captures different perspectives of threat to agriculture and allied sectors. Global food supply chains are vulnerable to attack by both state and non-state actors through deliberate release of pathogens to destroy plants and animals. Terrorists also use chemicals and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) to attack agro-allied infrastructure, including dams, food processing plants, storage facilities and transportation nodes. In Nigeria, not t much is known about the threat of agro-terrorism in the public domain. This is in spite of overt operations of insurgents, bandits and kidnappers that have undermined agricultural production in vulnerable farming communities.
