The Politicisation of Settler-Native Identities and Ethno-Religious Conflicts in Jos, Central Nigeria chronicles three conflicts that occurred in Jos and environs in 1994, 1997 and 2001 which assumed ethnic and religious dimensions. The conflicts were rooted in 'settler-native' consciousness. Based on the findings of the study, recommendations were made to the effect that constitutional provisions should be strengthened to remove contradictions and ambiguities and the need to reform the very structure of the state.
