This book presents the first socio-legal assessment of Nigeria’s AML legal, regulatory and institutional framework for combating and deterring the prevalence of money laundering activities involving PEPs and how effective these laws have been in achieving this objective. It explores AML practices, mandated by extant laws, to be implemented by regulated entities such as banks and other non-financial institutions, which play a significant role as the first line of defence in combating money laundering.
